Soup Sunday |

Tuesday, 02 March 2010 14:03 |
Join us after 2nd service on Sunday, March 21st as we sit down and enjoy a bowl of delicious bowl of homemade soup together. The women’s ministry at CHCC will be sponsoring this Soup Sunday Fundraiser and all proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards scholarships for the Ladies Retreat at Warm Beach Camp (Apr. 30-May2). This is a great time to pull up a chair next to someone you don't know and get aquainted. See you there! |

HeBrews is a Year Old |
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 12:07 |
We wish to let you know what you have helped accomplish in that year, plus what our next step will be. The first distributions of money were to personal ‘accounts’ - credit earned by individual youth who work shifts in HeBrews - and to an emergency repair amount, which is set at $1,000. Individual accounts currently add up to approximately $400, general fund $1,000, and tips $200.
Now that we know what a year looks like, we will sit down and decide how the money in the general fund and tips areas will be utilized. This will include consideration of how we currently spend our existing youth budget and those events/areas we wish to support. A couple of youth have utilized their ’accounts’ already to be able to attend the 2009 Youth Fall Retreat.
All Jr. & Sr. High Youth are eligible to work in some capacity. We have several youth who have developed significant work skills. If you would like more information about HeBrews please stop by. We are located in the far end of the hallway in the Ministry Center.
A big “THANK YOU” to the CHCC family and administration for your support and construction of HeBrews. Also to the Cooks Hill Childcare for their continual patronage and Theresa Wichert who serves as our volunteer barista during the week.
Thank you Robert Snideman for training us in the art and continuing to supply products without a hitch, plus setting us up with a wonderful Christian technician for any questions or repairs that we may need. |
